 Defer for 1 year
  • Acute febrile illness
 Defer until fully recovered
  • Previous donation
 3 months
  • Skin lesions at venepuncture site
 After lesion has completely healed
  • Past exposure to unhygienic skin piercing, tattooing, ear holing, needle puncture, etc.
 1 year
  • Past exposure to a sexual partner or close household contact with HIV/AIDS or hepatitis
